Rain that changed the day. Our power went out at 5:30 from wind & rain taking out power poles & power lines. It's not expected to come back on until 4:30am!! 

We went over to the in laws so the kids could shower. They got sidetracked by blocks, who can say no to blocks? Not these guys!!!

Since both kids are afraid of the dark, they'll both be sleeping in our bed tonight. Four is a crowd, but it's a fun crowd! 

Hope you all had as fun a summer as we did!! 2013 is definitely a summer to remember!!

Monday fun

What started out as some water balloon fun with the Littles escalated to buckets of water over their heads! I guess that's what happens when you combine three year old children, hot mornings, and water!

Pool time

Our park has this cool little pool w/sprinklers built into it. It opened up on Memorial Day weekend. Sarah and I took them on that Sunday, then I took them almost everyday last week! We only go for about an hour and I vary the time so they see different people when they go. 

It's an easy place for me to take all four. I've set a few rules like they must always stay together. No one can be by them self. No running, or jumping in, even though the lifeguard doesn't seem to care. So far, all four of them have been model citizens!

Here are various pictures of the children and their cousins Charlie and Addison.
The first one is from Friday of the 4 of them watching Life of Pi together. They really liked it! Next up we had Jax and Addison digging in the dirt Saturday morning. After that we have all 4 of them painting with water colors and eating Lava cake I made for them on Sunday. Today, Monday they had a water balloon fight!

Wednesday the temps got up into the 90's so I took advantage! I filled up the water table, found an old Elmo sprinkler, and let the kids have some wet and dirty fun in the sun! They had a blast!
