Dino Days

The Yucca Valley Museum had a day of dinos last Saturday. We heard about it Saturday morning on the way to the farmer's market and decided to check it out. Maryam and Daddy made a "dino mask" as an art project. It was fun for her. She told Daddy what she wanted and he made it for her.
Here's the finished product. Funny, huh? They had fossils, bones and art projects available for the kids to explore. We had a family picture taken, but I haven't had time to scan it. When I do, I'll post it.
They had the Disney movie Dinosaurs playing on a huge screen in the back of the museum. Maryam thought it was awesome! I was surprised because she has never shown any interest in dinosaurs before. We stayed for about an hour, walked through the museum and let Maryam do all the art projects she wanted to. After that, we were off to Walmart to buy Maryam pet fish then to Joshua Tree for our weekly trip to the farmer's market.
