Well, the MAG 3 Nuclear Med scan was horrible. First they put a blanket over his whole body and taped him to the table. Then he was given an IV in his right foot. Next he was given a catheter. Once he was situated they injected him. Apparently the injection is uncomfortable because he lit up! He went from crying to screaming. After 10 minutes of the dye working its way through Jax's body they injected Lasix to get it through his system. That lit him up again! The nurse said its cold going through.
The study was 45 minutes long and Jax cried for roughly 35 minutes of it. It was horrible. Broke my heart.
Afte the test we had an appointment with his surgeon. His surgeon gave Jax the all clear! He said Jax's uriter looks exactly how he expects it to. He called Jax a success. Yay! In 6 months he'll need another ultrasound just to see how everything looks. He likes to follow his cases for a year.
So, yay! No more kidney surgeries for Jax! Woohoo!!!
