A friend of mine has a son in the hospital fighting for his life. He is 17 months old, the same age as Jax. Doctors aren't 100% certain what is wrong with him. If you're a praying person, please pray for Silas. Jen and Jon lost a 15 month old son in 2009 to what they now believe, is the same thing Silas is fighting against.

My dear friend Palak has a daughter about the same age as Maryam named Reva. Reva is in "intestinal failure". Reva is home being fed through a TPN, a form of IV feeding. Palak is one of the best people I know and she's handling this situation as bravely as any mother can. Reva is a strong, well adjusted little girl who is amazing. If you're a praying person, please pray for Reva. Reva was a 33 week preemie, just like Jax. She's been fighting GI problems her whole life. Please say a prayer that God can heal her GI system.
