"Sky Park"

Brett and I have been taking advantage of the lower temps by taking the kids to the park everyday. Jax enjoys eating the wood chips and Maryam enjoys the running and climbing.

"I taught her how to dangle!" That's my favorite Forest Gump line...we use it a lot. Here is Jax dangling from the monkey bars...are they still called monkey bars?

Here are both kids being wrangled up by Daddy so we could go home for dinner. Getting Maryam to leave the park can be difficult sometimes. She just loves being outdoors, she loves running around and she loves climbing on things. This park has 3 or 4 rock climbing walls, 7 slides, a bridge that she insists on running over and at least 3 or 4 ladders for her to climb up and down. Would you want to leave? Ha!

Jax at the sprinkler park

Here are some photos of Jax's first trip to the sprinkler park. HE LOVED IT!!! He walked from sprinkler to sprinkler playing with the water. It was almost like he was playing "chicken" with it.

He got wet from head to toe. Maryam was sweet with him and kept inviting him from sprinkler to sprinkler with her.

You would think that after running around in the sun for 3 hours that she would have exhausted all of her energy, nope! When we got home from San Diego I took her to the park to run out a little more. Unfortunately the lights weren't on so we had to leave before the sun went down.

Here is Maryam on the swing. I'm so glad that she started liking the swings. She still doesn't have strong enough muscles in her shoulders to pull herself up on many of the climbing equipment, so the swings and slides are nice alternatives.

Maryam did not want to eat dinner tonight. She threw every piece of food that I put on her tray. Finally she calmed down and just hugged on a pumpkin guy until her dinner was done. I think she just finally ran out of energy. You can see that she looks a little tired in this photo.
