We left for the airport at 4:30am TN time. We got there at 5. Thankfully Uncle Scott helped us with all the luggage and car seats. Getting through security went well.  We picked up milk and breakfast and headed to our gate. We boarded the plane minutes after getting there.
The kids fell asleep right after they finished eating which was about 10 minutes after taking off at 6:30. Jax slept solid for about 2 hours. Maryam was restless and uncomfortable. She just couldn't seem to settle, poor baby. After about 2 hours both children were awake and bored. That's when I busted out the coloring books, crayons and DVD player. Those, along with LOTS of snacks got them through to Las Vegas.
Las Vegas was supposed to be a short, less than 1 hour layover. Unfortunately we were delayed by a hole found on the right wing of the plane. Yada yada yada, an hour later and what seemed like a duct tape patch job, we were on our way!
When we landed the kids were super happy to see Daddy! They cuddled on him lots and lots. It was nice to see my husband again. :-)
We went to lunch at Dave and Busters and then headed home. It was a good day.
