For lunch today I mixed 2 Tbs of single grain rice cereal with 1 oz of formula. The texture was more pastey than the last time I made it. I think he did better with the thicker mixture. He gagged a few times, which I read is a normal reaction to new textures. After he did that he ate more and smiled while doing it! He ate nearly all of it!!!! Yay!
In case you're wondering, yes! I'm a complete nervous wreck the whole time I'm feeding him. Yes, I know I didn't cause M's problems. Yes, I know Jax doesn't have the same oral problems M has/had. Yes, I'm aware that my fears are illogical. No, I'm not going to get over it any time soon. Ha!
