Park fun
I know I titled this post Park Fun, but I have to be honest, I'm not sure how much fun it really was. The kids wanted to go play on the playground instead of going swimming and I reluctantly agreed to take them. I only didn't want to go because it was 90 degrees with 50% humidity outside! I tried to tell them that it was too hot, but I decided to let them prove my point for me. :) About 20 minutes after we got there the whining started. We only stayed about 30 minutes. They conceded that it was too hot to play on the playground.

Beach Ball Fun
Four cousins enjoying a giant beach ball. That's what you get when you send Uncle Scott & Jax to the store to buy a beach ball. So funny!
He loves it!
They were the envy of the pool

Last week the big girls had bible kinder camp Monday-Thursday. They went from 9am-2pm everyday. The Littles and I had fun doing something different everyday. Monday we saw a newborn colt down the street! We hit up the pool too!

Pool fun
I've been trying to get the kids to the pool 3 or 4 times a week, and so far, so good. We've gone everyday this week except Wednesday. We couldn't go Wednesday because there was a storm.
I'm driving them to the next town over today to check out a different park. I'll post pics of that soon. In the mean time, here are pictures from the pool this week.

Pool time
Our park has this cool little pool w/sprinklers built into it. It opened up on Memorial Day weekend. Sarah and I took them on that Sunday, then I took them almost everyday last week! We only go for about an hour and I vary the time so they see different people when they go.

It's an easy place for me to take all four. I've set a few rules like they must always stay together. No one can be by them self. No running, or jumping in, even though the lifeguard doesn't seem to care. So far, all four of them have been model citizens!

Jax is sick
I know I have totally fallen off on updating my blog. I have no reason, just lots of excuses.
Right now I'm dealing with a sick little boy. Jax started getting whiney Tuesday night. He didn't have a fever or any symptoms of being sick. Wednesday he woke up with a slight fever. It was 100.5. The part that concerned me was the bloody nose he had with it. It was his first bloody nose. I gave him some Motrin to bring his temp down and he was fine the rest of the day!
Yesterday Jax woke up with a 103 temp and another bloody nose! He also started coughing a lot. Weird. So Daddy took him to the doc Thirsday afternoon. Turns out Jax has bronchitis. Yikes. Seems rather early in the year for that kind of crap! Ugh.
So Jax came home with directions to give him Albuterol neb treatments 3 to 4 times a day for 4 days and a 7 day course of Amoxicillin. Good times.
This morning he woke up at 5 am with a temp of 104.2. Super yikes! I gave him a dose of Motrin and Tylenol and draped him in a wet towel. He was quite upset but not strong enough to fight me off. After about 2 hours I got him down to 100 degrees. He fell asleep and I went back to bed. We all slept in until 10:30! Yay!
Today I gave him Motrin and Tylenol throughout the day. This kept his temp down. He's not a fan of the amoxicillin but he takes it. Tonight his temp was going back up and M started to get a fever. Her temp was 100 degrees after dinner. Both children wanted to go swimming so I said, why not? The cool pool water will help bring their temps down. It worked!
